Vermont’s largest city but with less than 50,000 residents, Burlington blends the best of country living and civilization. It is home to great farm-to-table restaurants and breweries, a vibrant Farmer’s Market, the Flynn Center for the Arts, and the Church Street Marketplace for shopping. UVM and Middlebury College are also hubs of cultural activity. The UVM Medical Center is known as one of the best in the country and Burlington schools are excellent.
Burlington International Airport offers northern New England the ease of convenience and direct flights to many major cities. Easy to get in and out of, BTV is just ten minutes from Lake Champlain, an hour from five world-class mountain resorts, and only one hour and forty five minutes from Montreal.
From Lake Champlain to the Green Mountains, the greater Burlington region offers every imaginable activity for outdoor enthusiasts. Residents and visitors alike can enjoy outstanding boating on Shelburne Bay, hiking on Mt. Philo or Snake Mountain, and biking country roads in the summer, and of course world-class skiing at Stowe and Sugarbush in the winter.
